Over eleven years ago I began creating Mamie’s Cafe and bakery in my head – a vision. There are many times that I wander why I felt the need to create such a unique way to set up and run the business as a fast casual food business without servers and tipping. As I watched this segment on the news at 3: 30 a.m. this morning, I felt like I was listening to myself discuss my business plans. I have never heard of this man but I feel like I know him completely. So many of his ideas and actions have been in my head for years. Perhaps having the business being located in a rural town in central Pennsylvania is more challenging than New York City but I am proud to have created Mamie’s and that it has turned into a ” DESTINATION” food business. Our customers drive for miles away for hospitality and great tasting food – Mamie’s!
